Project Description
পিছুটান—is a vibrant tea stall designed to evoke nostalgia, memories, and the warmth of shared moments. Rooted in Bangladeshi heritage, this vibrant space blends traditional aesthetics with community engagement, transforming tea drinking into a cultural experience. The tea stall is adorned with hand-painted rickshaw motifs, featuring intricate floral patterns, rural landscapes that echo the vibrancy of Bengali street culture. The exterior painted with bright colors, welcoming visitors with its cheerful ambiance. In the context of rural Bangladesh, shades of large tree is a place of social and community bond. So the stall is designed beside a large tree which serves as a focal point, offering natural shade and comfort. The stall utilizes locally available materials like bamboo, recycled tin sheets, wood, reducing environmental impacts. The tree provides natural cooling while open seating fosters inclusivity. A swing hangs from its branches, inviting children to play while their families enjoy steaming cups of tea. The seating area consists of wooden benches and tables, each decorated with rickshaw art, making every corner of the stall a piece of living folk art. ফিরোজন is not just a tea stall—it is a vibrant gathering space for people of all ages. It provides a livelihood for tea vendors while preserving the rich artistic traditions of rickshaw painting. Beyond serving tea, ফিরোজন is a cultural landmark where art, nature, and community come together in perfect harmony.
