Project Description


Background

In the heart of the lush tea gardens of Sy!het lies an imaginary tea tourism spot designed to offer visitors an immersive experience. "Voices Unheard" is dedicated to showcasing the hard work and dedication of tea workers. 

Objective 

Our objective is to drive visitors to the uphill tea stall where they can enjoy a refreshing cup of tea while observing the intricate process of tea picking. This experience aims to provide visitors with a deeper understanding of the tea workers' labor and foster a sense of gratitude towards them. 

Design Concept 

The design concept embraces vernacular materials like bamboo and wood, creating a harmonious blend with the natural surroundings. And the form was initially developed from tea picking basket 

Key Features 

Observation Experience: Visitors can watch and feel the effort that goes into every cup of tea. 

Appreciation Board: An interactive appreciation board allows visitors to leave heartfelt messages and thoughts for the tea workers, promoting a sense of connection and gratitude. 

Social Impact: The project aims to raise awareness about the challenges faced by tea workers and encourage social responsibility among visitors. 

Sustainable Design: Utilizing vernacular materials like bamboo and wood, the tea stall is designed to be eco-friendly and in harmony with the environment. 

Conclusion

"Voices Unheard: Celebrating the Heart of the Leaf is more than just a tourist spot it is a tribute to the hard-working individuals who make our tea journeys possible.
