"Tong Tawla": A Tea Stall Under the Canopy

Project Description


"Tong Tawla" is a tea stall designed to embrace nature occupying one-fourth of a circular site beneath the shade of a large thee. The tree serves as the focal point, providing a natural canopy that enhances the stall's atmosphere. The design prioritanes sustainability, functionality, and an open-air concept, creating a serene and inviting spece for tea lovers. 

Architectural Features 

A canvas shade is stretched over the counter area, maintaining a lightweight and breathable environment Wooden tables and benches are arranged in a structured layout rather than a radial pattern to optimize space and functionality. The serving counter is well-organized, allowing for smooth tea preparation and an easy flow of customers. The open layout ensures unobstructed movement and a welcoming atmosphere 

• Materials & Sustainability 

The use of locally sourced wood and canvas shade aligne with the sta natural aesthetic. To reduce emironmental impact, lea is served in one-lime-use glasses for convenience 

Functionality & User Experience 

The open-air setting ensures natural ventilation and cooling, reducing the need for artificial climate control Circular Bow alloers smooth movement while maintaining am organized space. The remaining space of the circular site is utilized for various community activities, including children playing and vendors selling flowers. making Tong Tewta a welcoming and inclusive space for all. 

More than just a tea stall Tong Tawta is a reheshing retreat where nature and tradition come together, offering visitors a peaceful escape to enjoy a warm cup of tea.
