Project Description
A cup of tea is more than a drink; it represents warmth, comfort, and a time of reflection. But this tea stall offers much more: a second chance.
The people behind the counter offer resilience in addition as tea. They have experienced the weight of iron bars and the loneliness of shame. They have been sentenced, yet the world still rejects and mistrusts them; opportunities disappear, jobs disappear, and society ignores them. They don’t want sympathy; they just want a chance—to work, earn, and be accepted as human again. "Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future," as Oscar Wilde once remarked.
However, the world frequently rejects such possibility. Like the individuals it serves, this stall seems to be little more than a box at first glance—closed and unnoticed. But when it opens, it’s different. What was formerly off-limits is now accessible to everyone. The sound of cups clinking is the quiet rhythm of lives being brought back to normal.
There are stories about the world on a newspaper hanger inside. It serves as a reminder that, just as newspaper pages change daily, people need to have the chance to alter their story.
If someone made a mistake, would you judge them forever? Or would you offer them another chance, share a cup, and listen to their story? Because in this place, every second cup is more than simply tea—it’s acceptance and trust and a new beginning.
