Project Description

Design Pitch: Tea Stall

The Modern Tea Stall is a contemporary take on Bangladesh's beloved roadside tea stalls, designed to provide an inviting, inclusive, and culturally rich space for people to gather. Rooted in tradition but adapted for modern needs, this stall seamlessly combines sustainability, functionality, and aesthetics to create an engaging experience for all.

Design Philosophy

Tea stalls are more than just places to grab a cup of tea-they are community hubs, where people from all walks of life come together to share stories, discuss ideas, and build connections. This design prioritizes ergonomics and accessibility, ensuring that everyone, from daily wage earners to students and professionals, feels welcome.

Key Features

1. Sustainable & Affordable Construction

Built primarily from recycled shipping pallet crates, making it eco-friendly and cost-effective.

Modular design allows for easy transportation and quick assembly, making it viable for both urban and rural settings.

The natural wooden texture gives it an organic and inviting look while ensuring durability.

2. Cultural Aesthetic & Visual Identity

The stall features hand-painted traditional Bangladeshi motifs, celebrating local artistry.

Warm lighting and string bulbs create a cozy, nostalgic ambiance, reminiscent of classic desi tea stalls.

3. Functional & Ergonomic Layout

The counter is designed for quick service, featuring ample workspace for the vendor, along with dedicated sections for tea-making equipment, storage, and cash transactions.

Overhead storage racks efficiently hold packaged goods, while glass jars on the counter display fresh snacks.

The open design promotes ventilation and a comfortable working environment for the tea maker.

4. Inslave Seating Arrangement

A mix of benches and low tables creates a relaxed, communal seating experience.

The layout encourages group conversations while maintaining personal space for Individuals.

The slightly raised wooden platform helps prevent dust from affecting the seating area, making it clean and hygienic
