Project Description

Design Concept:  The inspiration behind this design is derived from the traditional houses and shelters of tea workers, locally known as Cha Sromik in Bengali. These structures typically feature a Dochala (double-pitched) roof, commonly used for storing freshly plucked tea leaves.

Functionality: It contains two foldable parts which can be carried or moved from one place to another. The two parts can be joined with bamboo joints.

Purpose: To provide a secure and private workspace for those who wish to conceal their identity—whether due to social stigma, physical conditions, cultural reasons, or personal choice. This innovative design holds significant potential as a sustainable income source, particularly for marginalized communities such as third-gender individuals in South Asian countries.

Materials:  Local, easily available and cheap material like wood bamboo, bamboo woven fence, wood.
