Project Description
Tea Stall: A Space for Stories and Community
At the heart of the tea stall, conversations brew alongside steaming cups of tea, each sip carrying a story
This tea stall is envisioned as an inviting presence within a public plaza or park-like setting away from the busting street yet seamlessly integrated into daily life. Its compact yet open design fosters interaction, making it a natural gathering spot. Designed for ease, it can be quickly dismantled and reassembled, ensuing flexibility and adaptability. Most importantly, hygiene remains a top priority, ensuring a clean and comfortable experience for both customers and tea makers
The design takes into account the Bangladeshi climate, site surroundings, and the expectations of its users. Locally available, cost-effective materials are used to ensure accessibility for all. The stall incorporates elements like rickshaw hood hinges for adaptability, a sturdy bamboo frame, breathable jute fabric, and locally sourced wood, all chosen to enhance both functionality and aesthetics. These materials root the stall in its cultural and environmental context, making it a sustainable and practical solution
More than just a place to serve tea, this stall becomes a hub of connection a space where people, stories, and traditions come together. It stands as a testament to simplicity, community, and the enduring charm of a shared cup of tea.
