Project Description

Nestled in a park, SHUTORANG is more than just a tea stall-it's a community hub designed to bring people together through the love of books and tea. Our bamboo-built tea stall blends tradition with innovation, creating a space that fosters community connection and intellectual engagement.

Designed with a rotating bookshelf, the stall encourages reading while enjoying tea. More than just a refreshment stop, it operates on a token-based book exchange system: for every book donated, a visitor receives tokes, each redeemable for a free cup of tea. This initiative nurtures a culture of sharing knowledge over a warm drink.

The use of sustainable bamboo ensures eco-friendliness, reinforcing our commitment to nature and community. By situating the stall in a park within a varsity campus, we ensure it remains a welcoming space for a specific community, encouraging relaxation, conversation, and cultural exchange in a familiar and natural environment.

Whether exchanging books, sipping tea, or engaging in thoughtful conversations, SHUTORANG is a heaven for connection, culture, and comfort. It's a place where every cup of tea and every book exchanged strengthens the ties of the community.
