Project Description

A Modular & Transformable Space

This tea stall is a compact, modular, and transformable unit designed for urban spaces. It starts as a 2700mm x 2700mm x 2100mm cube, divided into nine 900mm x 900mm cubes. Cubes 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8 form a plus-sign layout, creating an open workspace. A folding and sliding mechanism allows the stall to transform into a closed 900mm x 900mm x 2100mm cuboid, making it highly portable.

A 450mm modular system ensures proportionality, with a foldable bench at 450mm seat height for compact seating. The 900mm height workstations optimize functionality. The main desk, which remains fixed, has two stoves for boiling tea, while an extended stove desk provides additional prep space. A left-side pop-down tray is designated for washing tea cups, with a sloped surface directing wastewater into a shaft, preventing urban mess.

For mobility, the cart features four wheels-two attached to the main cuboid portion and two supporting the left-side sliding section-ensuring stability. This innovative tea stall is space-efficient, adaptable, and ideal for pop-up markets and urban environments, offering a smart and functional commercial setup.
