Project Description
"Cha-scope" is a compact, modular tea stall inspired by the inside-out concept of the long-lost
entertainment medium, the Bioscope. Designed with a strong focus on ergonomics, it requires minimal space while ensuring maximum utility.
Though unconventional in appearance, "Cha-scope" is the result of an in-depth study of traditional tea stalls. Tea is more than just a drink-it is a cultural experience. By analyzing key functions and the essence of conventional tea stalls, the goal was to create a unique yet utilitarian tea stall.
Why "Cha-scope"? Tea stalls offer refreshing breaks, much like entertainment. The compact, foldable, modular stall resembles a bioscope, where the entertainment unfolds when the stall is set up, featuring tea as the central experience. So it can be seen as an inside-out bioscope that's featuring TEA-hence "Cha-scope".
Beyond just serving tea, "Cha-scope" incorporates thoughtful details, such as encouraging interactions with stray animals, fostering compassion. It also embraces sustainability through structured waste management, renewable energy use, and recyclable materials.
Furthermore, the design prioritizes the tea seller's benefits. Additional attachments allow sellers to offer secondary products like newspapers or magazines, enhancing their earnings.
Overall, "Cha-scope" is a tea stall designed with a macro-to-micro perspective, preserving the traditional essence while integrating modern sustainability practices. It redefines the tea stall experience, making it a multidimensional space for enjoying tea.
