Ptoject Description
Mina-Raju’s Tea Stall is a traveling experience that blends storytelling, sustainability, and cultural heritage, inspired by the bold characters of Mina and Raju. If Mina had a fourth wish for making this tea stall, it would be to create a space that brings communities together through tea, folk performances, and interactive learning. The stall serves as a dynamic, inclusive space where tradition meets innovation. Mina, a confident young woman, runs the stall with a vision of challenging gender norms, fostering education, and creating a welcoming space for all.
Mina and Raju break away from the traditional concept of tea stalls being male-dominated spaces, proving that women can lead and succeed in any field. The stall offers a variety of unique, seasonal teas catering to everyone, from students and farmers to other members of the community.
Inspired by the restrictive environment of the only shop in Mina’s village, run by "Dokankar," Mina’s tea stall offers a space where all people, including women and children, can gather comfortably. The stall is designed to be mobile, adaptable, and extendable, with customizable wall options made from reusable palate wood and bamboo boards. It also features a birdhouse that reuses water to feed birds and animals, promoting sustainability.
Beyond serving tea, the stall functions as a cultural hub, supporting local fairs, exhibitions, and creative activities. The eco-friendly structure, made of glued laminated bamboo, is designed for quick assembly and relocation. Mina-Raju’s Tea Stall can be set up anywhere: beside agricultural lands, wetlands, schools, residences, or even as a movable tea stall on the road.
