Project Description

Inspired by the rich cultural heritage of Bangladesh, this mobile tea stall "Golpo Gari", reinterprets the elegance and functionality of the traditional rickshaw. More than just a mode of transport, rickshaws are moving canvases of vibrant art and an essential part of overyday life. This design captures that spirit, blending mobility, artistic expression, and practicality into a unique tea-selling experience. "Golpo" means story, and "Gari" means vehicle, implying a place where stories are shared over tea.

Designed for both urban and rural adaptability, the stall features a foldable roof made of waterproof canvas and tarpaulin, reminiscent of the rickshaw hood. This ensures easy setup and portability while providing shelter for customers. When it rains, the gentle rain sound on the roof creates a soothing atmosphere, enhancing the experience of tea drinking.

To enhance functionality and innovation, the stall incorporates foldable seating, allowing customers to enjoy tea while seated or standing. The attached cycle and wheels provide effortless mobility, enabling the seller to cover a wider area and reach more customers. At the end of the day, the foldable roof allows the cart to be conveniently collapsed and transported with ease. A storage cabinet inside the cart ensures organized utility, while natural ventilation effectively manages smoke without requiring additional energy sources.

Culturally, the stall embraces traditional rickshaw art, featuring vibrant colors and intricate patterns, making it visually striking and a reflection of Bangladesh's artistic heritage. The use of paper cups and a reusable waste system promotes sustainability, reducing environmental impact while maintaining convenience for both the seller and customers.

For community impact, the stall creates an inviting space where people can connect, interact, and enjoy tea. Additionally, the use of durable and locally available materials ensures cost-effectiveness, supporting small businesses.

This design reimagines the traditional tea stall, serving as both a cultural symbol and a practical solution for urban and rural settings, merging functionality with artistic and environmental consciousness.
