Project Description

Introduction: 

For strong contextuality, the site has been taken in Sagorpara, Rajshahi for the popularity, tea stalls or locally called tong, of being the most demanding breakout space in Rajshahi. Sagorpara has a road junction named ‘Bot Tola´ expresses a daily gathering space for the residents of Sagorpara. But gradually this place is losing its vibrancy. So, the tea stall design aims to revive the vibrancy of the ‘Bot tola’ and connect the neighborhood with the existing heritage buildings as a visiting place.

Concept: 

The idea is derived from the ‘Bot tola’ in Sagorpara. The tea stall should provide a welcoming shade for leisure addas as well as nature friendly. The form also expresses the shape of Bengal hut which represents the neighborhood and the connection between the heritages and the residents.
