Project Description

The stall's design prioritizes functionality and mobility by Transforming a traditional Bengali van into a COMPACT, PORTABLE setup. The site for the stall is in front of RAJUK Uttara Apartment Project Gate No. 5 in Uttara, sector-18. The police sometimes order vendors to close or move, so the stalls need to be mobile at all times. They also don't get the permission to place the stalls on the footpath. So the usual cart size becomes a problem. The stall is designed to solve these issues. The van is disassembled and a cart is attached to the rear side, allowing easy moving. The cart has two parts: WORKING SPACE & STORAGE. The workspace has foldable flaps that can be expanded for more space. The stove is placed a little lower than the working area for convenience and safety. The STORAGE can accommodate stools, buckets and other necessities. To supply energy for the lights, an 1'×1' solar panel(10% efficiency) is set on the roof. Inside of the roof, an insulation foam(5 mm thick, 10 sq.ft) is attached to prevent overheating. Biodegradable bags from Ecospear Pvt LTD. are used for waste management which are eco-friendly and affordable. The collected organic wastes will be SOLD to the nearest nursery and the money collected will be used as a discount to encourage the customers for a responsible waste disposal.
