Project Description

Cities are more than just structures—they thrive on human interaction, conversations, and shared experiences. This urban modular stall isn’t just a space-saving solution; it also plays a crucial role in fostering social and cultural connections within the urban fabric. Street vending is an essential part of urban culture—from chai stalls in India to ramen carts in Japan, these spaces represent more than just commerce; they reflect local traditions and ways of life.

With urban spaces shrinking and rent prices soaring, small stall owners struggle to find affordable, viable spaces to operate. Our urban modular stall is designed to tackle this challenge by fitting into even the tightest city spaces, offering both mobility and functionality. The modular design of 0.5m-wide, 2m-high ensures easy transport, quick assembly, and adaptability for indoor use, maximizing utility in high-footfall areas without causing congestion.

Choice of materials such as perforated steel sheet and solid MS sheets making it a light weight and durable option to move around. A secondary module features seating options, encouraging customers to relax, interact, and engage in conversations. Featuring newspaper holders, a water filter, and sunshades, the design creates a semi-private, comfortable space that fosters community and informal discussions, transforming the stall into a social hub.

The metal body and framework offer a lightweight, economical option, with materials adaptable to the owner's needs. Takes a car’s space when open and a bike’s when closed!
