Project Description

Tea stall Known locally as "tong," tea stalls serve as meeting spots for people from all walks of life to converse, debate, and relax over a cup of tea, making them an integral part of Bangladesh's social and cultural fabric. Tea stands are a unique part of campus life at Dhaka University (TSC), acting as lively centers for cross-cultural communication and social interaction. The 11 registered tea stalls that are now located along the TSC pedestrian promenade have been relocated in order to improve the environment. Enhancing both functionality and appearance is the goal of the new modular and functional designs. However, the current TSC tea shops near the pedestrians produce traffic jams, hygienic problems, and security issues; a new location next to the TSC can address these issues. The design offers more effective modular system stalls with seating and painting canvases, which are a tradition of TSC tea stalls. These modules, which can accommodate two sellers apiece, are intended for the eleven tea vendors that Dhaka University's vice chancellor has registered. The 'chouchala' shape form of the modules makes them more visually appealing to both guests and sellers.
