Project Description
The tea stall design captures the fluidity, warmth, and motion of tea, translating its invigorating essence into architectural form. Inspired by the swirling steam from a hot cup and the dynamic flow of poured tea, the structure takes on an organic, free-flowing shape. This fluidity reflects how tea energizes thought and fosters conversation, especially in Bengal, where tea stalls are social hubs rather than mere refreshment stops.
At the core of the design is the service area, shaped like a tea leaf, symbolizing nature, purity, and the essence of tea itself. Acting as both a functional and symbolic nucleus, the central form expands outward in harmonious, undulating motions, reminiscent of steam or flowing liquid. This rhythmic movement visually represents the uplifting and revitalizing qualities of tea.
Beyond being just a kiosk, this tea stall offers a spatial and sensory experience, mirroring the pulse of daily life. It transforms the act of drinking tea into an architectural journey, where movement, warmth, and human connection are reflected in the dynamic yet inviting design. By embodying the cultural and emotional significance of tea, the stall serves as a catalyst for conversation and social interaction, seamlessly blending tradition with contemporary expression.
