Project Description

"Cha-Biscuit" is an innovative project that reimagines the traditional Bangladeshi tea stall as a vibrant hub for community engagement and cultural appreciation. Constructed using sustainable and low-cost materials like bamboo, wood planks, rope, and nipa leaves, the design embodies environmental responsibility while highlighting local craftsmanship. Central to the concept is the celebration of traditional rickshaw art. The stall's exterior is adorned with intricate patterns and vivid colors characteristic of this cultural expression. This artistic integration transforms the tea stall into a living gallery, fostering a deeper connection to Bangladesh's rich heritage. The design emphasizes open spaces that facilitate gatherings and interactions among locals and students alike, providing a vibrant and engaging environment. Functionality meets aesthetics as the use of natural materials provides both sturdiness and rustic charm. Bamboo frames and wood planks offer structural integrity, while ropes are artistically woven to add texture and visual interest. The nipa leaf roofing offers protection from the elements while enhancing the eco-friendly aspect of the design. "Cha-Biscuit" serves as more than just a place to savor tea; it is a platform for joy, connection, and cultural exchange. By intertwining sustainable design with the vibrant essence of rickshaw art, the project creates a dynamic environment where tradition and community spirit flourish. It encapsulates the soul of Bangladeshi tea culture - a place where stories are shared, ideas are born, and the communal fabric is strengthened.
