Project Description
Our first priority is to make a place which will disappear in nature . So, we choose the “Padma flower” as our module style. We took three modules to merge with the concept : design's main module-1 is the main tea serving area, module-2 & module-3 are the sitting places which are fully floating on the Padma bill's bank. People will get a floating experience & the surrounding space quality will be very enjoyable. A person with a cup of tea in his hand, sitting on a floating place, experiencing a calm breeze, the sound of a quiet stream & seeing padma flower's beauty in front of his eyes will blow his mind.
DESIGN MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION
The materials used in this tea stall are completely sustainable & indigenous materials such as bamboo & straw. Bamboo used in structure, frame of roofs, stairs . In side-walls we used woven bamboo. On the top of the roof, we used straw as final shading. We tilted the roof of the sitting modules towards the south-west to protect from driving rain & used a chimney in module-1 for smoke management .
FROM WASTE TO A LIFE
The tea stall produces about “0%” waste. We used one-time biodegradable paper cup to serve tea & after having tea, the cup will be used as a primary pot for saplings. The saplings will be exhibited in module-1 on a bamboo screen. People can plant seeds in these cups, which will engage people more to nature. The tea dust will be used as fertilizer for seeds. People can also buy trees from here.
