Project Description
Bhoomi Cha House utilizes a modular design, allowing tea stalls to seamlessly integrate into various environments while adapting to different scales of use. This flexibility ensures that the structure harmonizes with diverse environments, creating a dynamic space for tea culture to thrive. Bhoomi Cha House is also rooted in nature and culture. The name "Bhoomi, meaning "earth" in Bengali and Sanskrit symbolizes a deep connection to the land, while "Cha", meaning "Tea," directly links the structure to its purpose as both a tea-growing and tea-experiencing space
Bhoomi Cha House serves as a multifunctional hub for retall, dining, education, and community gatherings. Specialized planting installations allow visitors to experience the tea-growing process firsthand, deepening their connection to nature. A curated book and resource area preserves the history and traditions of tea, offering diverse ways for people to engage with its cultural heritage. These interactive elements transform the space into a leaning and sensory experience. bridging the gap between past and present
Rooted in the natural landscapes of South Asia, the structure is built entirely from timber, emphasizing sustainability and environmental harmony its diverse facade designs and interior functions create an engaging space for both adults and children, fostering a dynamic experience while integrating eco-friendly principles at the core of its design. Bhoomi Cha House embodies a design philosophy that harmonizes people with their environment. It is not just a place to buy or taste tea-it is an evolving space where tea culture, architecture, and nature converge.
