Project Description

Tea stalls and auto-rickshaws have long been integral to our daily lives and traditions. Over the years, they have become essential social and cultural hubs. Understanding their significance, we have designed a sustainable, movable, and effective tea stall that preserves tradition while embracing modern needs.

Our tea stall is constructed using bamboo and tin, making it both lightweight and durable. The materials used for serving tea, such as cups and plates, are crafted from locally available coconut shells, ensuring sustainability. To enhance accessibility, we have repurposed an auto-rickshaw into a mobile tea stall, allowing it to be easily transported from one location to another. This mobility ensures that tea lovers can enjoy their favorite drink wherever they are.

In addition to serving tea, we wanted to revive a cherished element of our cultural heritage “The Bioscope”. This traditional form of entertainment was a beloved part of our childhood, and we believe that younger generations should experience its charm. By incorporating a Bioscope in our tea stall, we create a nostalgic and enjoyable space for customers of all ages.

The tea stall measures 6 feet in length, 5 feet in width, and 8 feet in height. One side features a foldable table, which functions both as a workspace for the tea maker and a display for complementary products like cake, biscuits, and snacks. To celebrate local artistry, we will paint the exterior using traditional rickshaw art, a vibrant and inspiring representation of our cultural identity.

This innovative tea stall combines tradition, sustainability, and accessibility, offering a unique experience for the community.
